Frequently asked questions

What is evidenso Compass?

Compass is a discovery coach for customer conversations. It suggests a question when there’s something worth exploring, helps you notice leading questions, and turns the call into a research update.

Who is Compass for?

Founders, product managers and researchers who speak directly with customers. Compass helps you explore how people work, what they’ve already tried and what makes a problem worth solving.

How does it work during a call?

The Mac app uses your microphone and the audio from your meeting app. A small floating panel shows a suggestion without taking focus away from the conversation. You can pin a question, skip it or pause coaching. Let participants know before using it.

How does Compass know what to ask?

Suggestions draw on your learning goal and what’s being said in the call. They focus on real experiences, past attempts and specific examples, helping you follow a useful detail before the conversation moves on.

Does a bot join my call?

No. Compass runs as a small panel on your Mac and does not join as a meeting participant. You choose which questions to ask.

What do I need to use Compass?

A Mac running macOS 14.2 or later, with microphone and call-audio permissions enabled. Compass is designed for calls in apps such as Google Meet, Zoom and Microsoft Teams.

Do I have to connect my calendar?

No. You can start coaching a call yourself. Connecting a calendar is optional and helps Compass recognise upcoming customer calls.

What happens to the insights afterward?

Compass creates a research update with the strongest evidence, a missed thread and a question for the next call. Customer quotes stay separate from interpretation. We’re building the connection to your evidence graph, so future questions can draw on previous conversations, your customer data and market intelligence.

Is Compass free?

Compass is free during early access. No credit card is required. Pricing after early access will be announced before it ends.
